Besides enjoying the beautiful beach, the nearby surroundings offer many other activities. Because we were born and raised in Zeeland, we can provide you with a lot of great suggestions and advice. Just step in and ask for a good idea! We also provide many different flyers at the reception.

Beach

You can easily walk from the campsite, over the fully paved dunes trail (250 meters distance), right up to the North Sea beach. Seventeen kilometres of beautiful wide sandy beach stretches at your feet! These are the cleanest beaches in the Netherlands, which also allows them to wave the Blue Flag. Go and find yourself some shark teeth, go and fly kites or take a refreshing dive into the sea. During the tourist season there is a beach patrol and you can rent lounge chairs and sunshades.

Cycling and walking

The beautiful and spacious dunes area with cycling and walking trails is highly appreciated by nature enthusiasts and sporty recreationists. But the Zeeland inlands are also remarkably well suited for a beautiful cycling trip. The cycling paths are neatly constructed, and there is a lot to see. You can follow one of the many wonderful trails or take of on your own adventure. You can easily cycle across the border into Belgium in the direction of Knokke, and in Breskens you can take a Fast Ferry towards Vlissingen. The reception desk offers more information on the cycling trails.

Bird spotting

Birds also love our region. An oystercatcher looking for earthworm on the beach, a seagull sitting on a timber groyne, or a goose resting near Breskens before making the crossing towards Vlissingen. Various birding sites are available for you to hide in to enjoy these beauties of nature and maybe even capture some on camera.

Water sports

A great site for water sports! Go kite surfing, surf kayaking, or supping. You are also allowed to go beach fishing without a permit. Maybe you can even eat your own catch at dinner!

Culture

Just want to get a break from the sea and nature? You can! Visit the historic town of Sluis, the fisherman’s village Breskens or the century-old cities of Bruges and Ghent. You can choose for a guided tour, or simply just wander around in the old streets.  Our region also offers a wide variety of interesting events. Ask for the Zeelandpas at our reception desk. At only 4 euros per person, it gives you a discount at various museums, restaurants and other tourist attractions.

Culinary

Zeeland, with its Burgundian character, is well known for its culinary finesse. There are many places for you to enjoy all kinds of treats. A nice and freshly caught fish in a beach house during sunset, or a tasty pointy bag of Belgian fries on a terrace. Everybody can get what they want!
